This collection of microlearning examples reflects my journey of experimenting with custom color schemes, graphics, and interactive elements to push the limits of Rise 360’s block construction.

Highlights include playful storytelling in Let's Go Camping!, skill-building in Essential Communication for Student Nurses, and custom CSS coding in Crafting an Instructional Design Philosophy.

Sometimes as instructional designers, we have a vision we want to bring to life in Storyline 360 but aren’t sure how to execute it. By leveraging tools like online tutorials and Storyline’s built-in features, there’s a wealth of resources to help you achieve your goals and spark creativity!

This collection of Storyline 360 examples reflects my journey of experimenting with interactivity and custom visuals designed in Canva and PowerPoint. Highlights include a multi-layered tab design on Understanding Key Learning Theories and an illustrative clickable interaction exploring Sociocultural Theory, Connectivism, & Adult Learning Theory, demonstrating two distinct approaches to presenting similar content. Another standout is a Professional Nursing Portfolio example featuring a CSS-powered magnifying glass effect, allowing learners to closely examine documents and certificates.

Each project showcases how creativity and functionality can transform standard templates into engaging and seamless learning experiences.

Richard Mayer’s principles of multimedia learning provide a powerful foundation for creating educational experiences that resonate with learners. This collection showcases my ability to blend multimedia components with innovative design approaches to craft distinctive and engaging projects.

Highlights include How to Make Slime, a 1-minute instructional video created using CapCut and Canva as a reimagined Creative Commons resource, and Navigating Nurse Educator–Student Boundaries, a four-scene scenario interaction using multimedia and knowledge checks blocks—an innovative alternative to traditional Rise 360 scenario blocks.

These examples demonstrate that with thoughtful design and the right tools, multimedia can elevate learning experiences in countless creative ways.
